The mission of AstroTots Academy & Daycare is to provide a safe, convenient, and developmentally appropriate childcare environment to our community of working parents. We will use an innovative curriculum to impact and inspire our future generation of leaders, thinkers and doers. We will provide a program that meets the intellectual, moral, social, emotional, and physical needs of each child in our care.
STEAM represents a paradigm shift from traditional education philosophy, based on standardized test scores, to a modern ideal which focuses on valuing the learning process as much as the results. The world is ever evolving and we are in dire need of progressive thinkers to keep pace. At AstroTots Academy & Daycare, we plan to meet this need and help budding minds flourish through a STEAM based curriculum. Here we will foster their innate talents by guiding their natural curiosity, dialogue and critical thinking. We want to encourage children to take thoughtful risks, partake in experiential learning, persevere in problem-solving, nourish collaboration, and work through the creative process.
STEAM was originally developed for K-12 students, so by adapting it for younger children, we’re creating a true jumpstart to their future education; After all, these are the pioneers, educators, and scholars of the 21st century!
